Left-sided player Obita joined the Chairboys during the 2021 January window from Oxford United, going on to nail down a regular slot in Gareth Ainsworth's starting XI.

Obita spent his youth career at Reading before joining up with the senior side, making just shy of 200 appearances for the Royals between 2010 and 2020, and receiving Player of the Season for 2013/14. Between 2012 and 2013, he spent time on loan at Barnet, Gillingham, Portsmouth and Oldham Athletic.

In 2020, Obita signed for League 1 side Oxford United, scoring once in 12 appearances for the U’s.

After joining Wycombe in the 2021 January transfer window, Obita provided vital cover for the left-back position in the second half of the Championship season, making his debut in the 0-0 draw with Birmingham City at Adams Park and going on to be a regular starter for the Chairboys in 2021/22, mostly at left wing-back, scoring his first goal in style in the 2-2 draw at Sheffield Wednesday in November 2021.
