Teenage full-back Antoine Makoli joined the Blues in August 2022 after being spotted by Wycombe’s recruitment team during a showcase game held by Pro Direct Academy.

His coach at Pro Direct Academy, Danny Payne, said: “Antoine has been a consistent performer for PDA Manchester over the last couple of seasons and made himself a regular for our Pro Direct Academy national squad.

“His attitude throughout his time at PDA Manchester has been excellent and the eagerness he has shown to want to improve on a daily basis is a credit to him and the coaches that have worked with him on the day to day.

“Antoine was one of the standout performers at our recent showcase event in which he attracted a lot of attention from a number of clubs across the country including Wycombe Wanderers. The opportunity Antoine now has in such a great model at Wycombe will give him a great platform to improve day in day out. A huge thanks to Wycombe Wanderers for giving him such a great opportunity.”

He spent time on loan with Chesham United before Christmas.
