Bio

Exciting creative midfielder Mehmeti burst into the first-team picture just weeks after joining the development squad in 2020, going on to feature 29 times in the Championship that season.

Following spells with Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur's youth teams, Anis joined Norwich City in July 2017 and later moved to non-league Woodford Town, where he scored twice in 14 games in the Essex Senior League during the 2019/20 season.

He made his Chairboys debut as a substitute against Millwall in October 2020, earning his first start shortly after against Nottingham Forest. His first goal came with the late equaliser against Queens Park Rangers in December, before scoring the first in the 3-2 win away at Huddersfield Town. Emerging as a regular, he dispatched the first-half penalty against Luton Town as his breakthrough season warranted the Young Player of the Year award.

Posing a crowd-pleasing threat from a typically-advanced midfield role, he has also gained international recognition where he represented Albania’s under-19s in 2019 and earned a call up to the under-21 side in May 2021 where he scored a penalty in a 3-0 European Under-21 Championship qualifier win over Andorra, and extended his contract with the Chairboys in November 2021.

The forward enjoyed an explosive start to the 2022/23 campaign, leading the goalscoring charts and receiving recognition as one of Sky Sports' top 21 players under-21.
