Bio
Wanderers completed the signing of young striker Ali Al-Hamadi – an Iraq international – in November 2020 following a successful trial.
The former Swansea City academy star had been training with the Blues and scored in their behind-closed-doors practice match against AFC Bournemouth before penning a one-and-a-half-year deal.
Born in Iraq, but growing up in Liverpool, Al-Hamadi played for the Iraqi Olympic Team in 2019 and received his first call-up for the senior national team in November, winning his first caps against Syria and South Korea.
He finished the 2021/22 campaign on loan at Bromley and impressed in friendlies ahead of the 2022/23 season.
