Jack Young has made his loan move from Newcastle United permanent, signing a contract to remain at Adams Park until 2025.

The midfielder joined the Chairboys on deadline day in January, impressing in Berks & Bucks Cup matches against Long Crendon and Ascot, and earning his league debut for the Blues in the 3-1 win at Crewe last month.

He contributed to the last-gasp winner against Fleetwood Town 10 days later and manager Gareth Ainsworth says the 21-year-old has earned his opportunity to develop his career with Wycombe:

"Jack's really impressed us, since the day he arrived, and we're delighted to have him on board on a permanent basis," he said.

"He was brought to our attention by our recruitment team earlier in the season and we were really pleased to have the chance to take a look at him during his loan deal.

"Every time he's gone out there to train or play in matches, he's given 100% and showed real quality, so it's fantastic to have him here for the next three years and we're looking forward to helping him unlock more of his potential."

An interview with Jack will follow soon on WanderersTV!
